Refreshing Smoothie Recipe

It’s that time of year again. Summer is here and the temperatures are rising. When it’s hot outside, staying hydrated is very important. Last year we posted a blog, Beat the Heat, which provided a list of thirst quenching foods that you can eat to help stay hydrated throughout these sweltering summer months.

It’s probably not surprising, but the list included a wide variety of fruits. If you’re looking for a delicious way to stay hydrated this summer, why not try a refreshing fruit smoothie!

If you purchase at a store, a smoothie can cost you $5.00 or even more. But if you have a blender, you can save money by making them at home. Here’s a fruit smoothie recipe that costs less than $1.00 per serving. The recipe calls for fresh peaches or strawberries, but you may be able to spend less by substituting the fresh fruit with frozen.

2. Blend on high until smooth.
