What is FNS/SNAP?
Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) is a food assistance program, which is known federally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamps). FNS/SNAP helps limited resource households buy food. FNS/SNAP is open to all eligible individuals and households that apply.
FNS/SNAP benefits are distributed monthly using an Electronics Benefit Transfer Card (EBT). The card is used like a debit card, and is accepted at many grocery stores, discount shops, and farmers’ markets. Click here to find SNAP/FNS retailers in your community.
