What is SNAP/FNS?


 

SNAP programThe Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal food assistance program that helps low-income families buy food they need for their household. SNAP, formerly called food stamps, is open to all eligible individuals and households that apply. In NC, the program is called Food and Nutrition Services (FNS).
